Overview / Responsibilities: CAM is hiring for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer I with willingness to support projects across the US.  This is an early career-level professional with limited experience.   Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in Instrument Engineering related to the oil and gas industry.  (Midstream experience preferred.)
  • Bachelor of Engineering from an Accredited College or University (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Degree preferred)
  • Occasional field visits, climbing stairs, ladders and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Executing the work plan for the on-time and on-budget delivery of all Instrument and Control deliverables
  • General understanding of the design of facility Instrument and Controls: 1. Process Control and Safety Systems 2. Process Instrumentation application 3. Control and Safety System installation and hook up, including field wiring, power requirements.
  • Participate in the production of: 1. Process Control and Safety system input to P&IDs 2. Instrument Selection and Sizing Calculations 3. Instrument Specifications, Datasheets, Requisitions, Bid Tabulations 4. Control System & Safety System Specifications 5. Control and Safety Logic definition to develop Cause & Effect Diagrams 6. Control system Wiring Diagrams and Loop Diagrams 7. Instrument location plans, Installation details (Hook Ups) and Bill of Materials (MTO) 8. Control Panel Fabrication drawings 9. Equipment layout drawings
  • General knowledge of applicable codes and regulatory requirements for the midstream sector.
  • Coordination with all other project disciplines of design
  • Assisting with the execution of the scope defined for the Instrument discipline.
  • Effective and timely communication with all team members.
