About The Position

CDI Engineering Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries. The Electrical Engineer VI provides very special knowledge and judgment in the Electrical Engineering field, performing advanced complex assignments that require the application of engineering education, training, or experience under the close supervision of a Professional Engineer. This role involves independently applying engineering principles in Electrical Engineering, demonstrating a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities, and analyzing designs needed by assisting other lower-level engineers. The engineer will perform studies to evaluate customer needs and develop alternative solutions that are technically sound and economically feasible.

Requirements

• Minimum of 20 years of experience related to instrumentation and control systems.
• Professional Engineering license is Required or willing to acquire.
• BS in Engineering (or higher) from ABET accredited Institution.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Prepares highly complex specifications detailing performance requirements, specific components, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements.
• Visits vendor facilities to inspect equipment for compliance with requirements.
• Visits jobsites to evaluate site, project requirements, and conditions.
• Supports field assignments as required.
• Mentors less experienced engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Supervises design personnel and other staff specialists.
• Participates in sales presentations.
• Prepares inquiry and purchase requisitions.
• Prepares bid tabulations on complex purchases.
• Reviews vendor drawings.
• Develops a focus on least cost, safe design.
• Ensures that project schedule and budget of assigned projects are maintained.
• Maintains and applies standards for quick budget estimates.
• Meets company quality assurance requirements.
