About The Position

This position exists to optimize the utilization of physical assets and technology resources to manufacture the highest quality products in the most efficient and effective manner, reduce costs and increase operating profit in OL3. The Instrument Engineer increases productivity and adds value by integrating plant assets, personnel, technology, energy, effective maintenance, instrumentation, production, and material flow processes while sustaining a safe and healthful working environment that meets environmental, health, and safety regulatory and Company requirements.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in instrument maintenance or other plant manufacturing experience is required.
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required; other related engineering disciplines considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Instrument Maintenance support OL3, enabling the Unit to achieve smooth operation, manufacture high-quality products, and avoid unscheduled process interruptions.
  • Utilize industries' best practices, benchmarking, and planning, abnormal analysis, and initiation and maintenance procedures.
  • Communicate and work with OL3 Operations continuously to establish equipment criticality and provide standby equipment for critical equipment.
  • Establish and maintain historical files to correct diagnoses of equipment failures and performance of equipment maintenance.
  • Provide Instrument Support to Operations of OL3 to ensure compliance with State and Federal Environmental Regulations.
  • Provide Instrument Support for OL3 including Preventative Maintenance, backup-up programs, supporting technicians with instrument calibration and or scheduling training.
  • Review abnormalities with Instruments to improve the overall performance of the instrumentation in OL3.
  • Work with other departments associated with OL3 to enhance product quality and plant reliability.
  • Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program.
