About The Position

Primary Purpose:Responsible for safe troubleshooting, installation, repair and operations of control and instrumentation of automation systems. Essential duties and responsibilities:Installs, inspects, maintains, operates, troubleshoots, repairs, and adjusts various electronic and Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems.Low Voltage (i.e. 4-20mA) troubleshooting and maintenance at LNG/RNG assetsInstall, analyze, and repair cameras and systems for remote vaporizer field unitsMaintains sufficient inventory of hardware and parts for LNG/RNG assets, as requiredPerforms Inspection and Maintenance checks on all control systems and serversAssist with and lead efforts to develop and implement changes as a result of systematic testing.Assist Field Operation personnel with mobilizing and setup of field unitsMaintain and monitor alarms and notifications for field unitsResponsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and tools as needed.Maintain company vehicle, keeping it clean and organizedComplete appropriate documentation and record keeping.Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and company tariff requirements.Mentor with fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself.Regular and predictable attendance.Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of employees, general public and company assets.Respond to call-outs and work overtime, and travel as necessary.Perform other duties as assigned.Willing to learn new systems and work within established procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 1-3 years of equivalent skills (instrumentation, automation, electrical controls, computer technology,) and experience.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically database applications
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that meets company insurability requirements.
  • Must have a strong focus on job to complete all assigned work tasks in a safe and accident free manner.
  • Solid computer skills (MS Windows, Office, install software, adding drivers, Linux proficiency a plus, etc).
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Must have ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules.
  • Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, document and complete work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate performance towards operational excellence.
  • Position requires standing, walking and sitting while working either indoors or outdoors.
  • Climbs and works at various heights.
  • May work in a standing, sitting, laying down, crouched or kneeling position.
  • Must be able to consistently lift a minimum of 20 lbs., at time in awkward positions.
  • May have to lift (from floor to waist) and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • While performing the job you will be required to lift and carry, pull or push, reach, squat, kneel and/or climb ladders or stairs.
  • Physical dexterity, hand/grip strength, depth perception, and any other physical attributes that enable the employee to perform the job safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Advance computer skills (SQL, Linux, Ladder Logic, Python).
  • Associate degree in a technical field.
  • Mechanical background and/or certification(s).
  • Knowledge of process controls and gas processing fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of electrical control circuits and troubleshooting techniques
  • Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gasses and high/low pressure systems.
  • Knowledge of SCADA/HMI software such as Inductive Automation's Ignition software.
