The Texas State Aquarium provides high quality, entertaining programming through education, conservation, and wildlife rehabilitation. We strive to provide our guests with an exciting, educational, and memorable experience. Responsibilities include but are not limed to: Instruct educational programs, on and off site, for school and public audiences adhering to program goals, curriculum and quality customer service standards as outlined by department and/or Aquarium procedures. Programs include, but are not limited to Homeschool, SeaCamp, Outreach, Special Events, Public Presentations, Animal Encounters, Exclusive Encounters, and/or Aquavision. Scheduled to work on Exhibit to engage with guests and provide instruction/guidance Use best practice teaching strategies that incorporate audience inclusiveness, inquiry and STEM content accuracy. Properly use and maintain teaching resources and equipment, including but not limited to those for field, lab and classroom use. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill Properly handle and utilize live animals, adhering to established guidelines and protocol .
