About The Position

The Department of Arts, Culture & Technology at Clarkson University seeks adjunct instructors for the Clarkson Seminar, a 3 credit critical thinking and writing course for first year students. This is an interdisciplinary course focused on exploring big themes from multiple perspectives. Clarkson University is a research-intensive institution with a pre-professional teaching mission in engineering, business and the sciences. Located in the Saint Lawrence River Valley, between the Adirondack high peaks and Ottawa and Montreal, Clarkson University provides easy access to both outdoor recreation and international social and cultural opportunities. The Department of Arts, Culture, and Technology (ACT) is an interdisciplinary department that cuts across the arts, humanities, and social sciences. The department offers minors and courses in fields including history, political science, literature, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, communications, digital arts, and more. Nearly every Clarkson undergraduate takes Common Experience and elective courses with the ACT Department.
