About The Position

The Department of Radiology is seeking applicants for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position, in the Division of lnterventional Radiology at Ridgeline Medical Campus under the supervision of the Chief of lnterventional Radiology. We are open to applicants for the Instructor or Senior Instructor academic ranks. We are a rapidly growing practice that operates out of Ridgeline Medical Center, (RLMC), which will be the APPs main clinical site. Cross coverage at Highlands Ranch Hospital (HRH) will be expected but that will be a smaller commitment, which will be flexible based on the clinical need as determine by the APP group. Working closely with our two APPs at HRH is expected for continuation of care. We anticipate adding an additional APP as needed to address an increase in volume due to growth. APPs perform multiple lnterventional Radiology Procedures independently including venous access, venous procedures to include RFA, Venaseal, Varithena, foam sclerotherapy, abdominal Botox injections, nerve blocks, PleurX placement, fluid drainage procedures, biopsies, joint injections, intrathecal pain pump management for cancer pain, fluoroscopic tube exchanges and any other procedure deemed appropriate. The APP's will manage a busy clinic schedule at RLMC and be responsible for consults and daily rounding when at HRH. They are part of a vibrant group culture with a collaborative teams-based approach to patient care Clinical duties involve primarily the provision of outpatient and inpatient clinical service support as well as both procedural and clinical activities. The individual will be trained by the lnterventional Radiology physicians and APPs in image guided minor procedures. The job will require clinical duties in both the inpatient and outpatient setting including pre-operative H&P, informed consent, patient preparation for procedures, inpatient rounding, family and patient education, admission and discharge from the hospital, and coordination of longitudinal care of lnterventional Radiology patients. Evenings and weekends are not required for this position. Requirements

  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
  • Master's Degree in NP or meets qualifications for a PA-Graduation from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program
  • Current Colorado State license by the time of hire.
  • Prescriptive authority required.
  • The rank is dependent on a combination of academic accomplishments, career pathway, as well as input from the department’s Promotion and Tenure committee.

  • Current Colorado State license by the time of hire.
