About The Position

The Instructor, Research Coordinator, and Director of Field Experience in Kinesiology at Samford University is a non-tenure track faculty position responsible for coordinating Kinesiology laboratory operations, teaching undergraduate courses, and overseeing student field experiences. Requirements

  • Master's degree in exercise science or a health-related field, or a highly qualified candidate with a master's degree by August 1, 2025.
  • Previous teaching or research presentation experience.
  • Experience with exercise-based laboratory equipment and techniques.
  • Current NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification (preferred).
  • Commitment to academic excellence and effective communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Christian university environment.
  • Additional certifications in related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of the operations of the Kinesiology laboratories.
  • Teach undergraduate didactic courses in Kinesiology.
  • Engage in scholarship and service activities.
  • Oversee student field experience placement and site evaluation.
  • Train field experience site supervisors and maintain regular communication with them.
