About The Position

The Instructor leads and instructs various group exercise classes offered to the members of the facility to encourage retention. The role requires a consistent outward mindset and exemplary effort in accomplishing goals and objectives while helping others achieve theirs. The instructor greets each participant, creating personal contact, and provides an entertaining, effective, and safe group exercise experience. Additionally, the instructor supports the proper maintenance of the group exercise area and promotes the facility's services to members and guests.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current certification as a group exercise instructor or leader.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross AED/Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certified within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Current NCCA accredited certification as a group exercise instructor or leader preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy/physiology and emergency procedures preferred.
• Skilled in interpersonal relationships and monitoring member responses.
