About The Position
The Department of Psychology within the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL is seeking applications for a full-time Instructor in Psychology. This position involves teaching undergraduate courses in developmental psychology, statistics, and/or research methods, as well as upper-level undergraduate courses in the candidate's area of expertise. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong instructional capacity and an understanding of diverse learning needs among students, fostering an inclusive educational environment where all students can thrive. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the selected candidate will be expected to engage in service activities, which include participation on departmental, college, and university committees. The review of applications will begin on September 30, 2024, and will continue until the position is filled. The College of Science at Florida Atlantic University is committed to supporting the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds and engaging all communities in higher education. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field at the time of hire. The salary for this position will be discussed with the applicant during the hiring process.
