About The Position

The YMCA of Metro Denver is seeking a Part-Time Pilates Reformer Instructor to lead engaging, inclusive classes and private sessions. This role is part of the Health and Wellness Team and requires professional customer service and relationship-building skills to create a welcoming environment. The instructor is expected to embody the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, contributing to the organization's mission to elevate lives and foster community.

Requirements

• YMCA Healthy Lifestyle Principles within 90 days of hire
• National Pilates Reformer certification with a minimum of 40 hours
• CPR/AED and First Aid

Responsibilities

• Serve as an instructor for Pilates Reformer Classes
• Pilates Reformer Instructors are expected to be 10-15 minutes early for class and stay 10-15 minutes after to arrange equipment, clean up, do appropriate record keeping, read notices, and visit with participants
• To participate in all staff meetings that may be called by the Health and Wellness Director/Supervisor
• When unable to instruct a particular class, instructors will find a substitute for that class, and inform the supervisor in writing of the substitution
• Follow and enforce all YMCA procedures and policies, including: personnel guidelines, safety guidelines, facility access procedures and membership policies.
• Carry out emergency plans as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe YMCA.
• Take initiative to clean up/repair areas.
• Be dressed in appropriate attire and wear nametag.
• Attend and remain current on all mandatory trainings and staff meetings.
• Be knowledgeable and supportive of the YMCA annual support campaign.
• Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all members and guests in our facility.
• Identify leaders for recruitment of volunteer/staff
• Any other duties as assigned.
