The College of Business at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer and program director of the Institute for Risk Management & Insurance Education (IRMIE) co-located on the UCF main campus and the UCF DirectConnect campus in Daytona Beach, FL. The teaching load for this position is expected to be one course per semester. Teaching needs will likely include risk management and insurance, wealth management, and other finance, marketing, and management-related courses. The Institute for Risk Management and Insurance Education provides professional, educational, and applied research programming to support the risk management and insurance industries in Florida. The goals of the Institute are to pursue technological innovations that advance risk valuation models and operational efficiencies in the insurance industry, drive the development of workforce competencies in data analytics, system-level thinking, technology integration, entrepreneurship, and actuarial science, and develop and offer risk management and insurance education, including education that recognizes risks in areas such as the environment, pandemic disease, and digital security.
