As a faculty member in the Department of Behavioral Sciences, the assistant professor or associate professor in this position is responsible for teaching Behavioral Science courses consistent with the faculty’s background, training, and experience, including courses within the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, the Doctorate of Behavioral Health program, and/or the undergraduate departmental programs. The faculty member is also responsible for engaging in scholarly activity and conducting committee work as assigned. The faculty member should hold a master’s in a behavioral sciences field and preferably hold a doctorate and an independent-level licensure as a mental health professional (i.e. LCSW, LPC/MHSP, etc.).
