Jacksonville University invites applications for a non-tenure-track Instructor position in Psychology to begin in Fall 2026. The area of concentration is open to both applied and research areas, with strong preference given to candidates who can teach in developmental, health, or neuro psychology. The candidate will teach four courses per semester, which may include Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods and courses in the candidate's area of expertise. All candidates must have at least a masters degree in psychology by time of appointment (August 2026).We especially welcome candidates who can broaden the range of courses we offer on diversity, equity,inclusion and belonging (DEIB). Faculty positions at Jacksonville University require commitment to teaching, university service, and scholarship. The Psychology Department has approximately 150 majors, 80 minors, and 3 full-time faculty members, so faculty teach a wide range of courses. Psychology faculty also frequently teach courses within the College of Arts and Sciences' DEI minor and certificate programs. The successful candidate will teach four courses per semester, which may include Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and courses in the candidate's area of expertise.
