About The Position

The Instructor of Education at New Mexico Tech (NMT) is a full-time, non-tenure track position within the STEM Education Center, starting in August 2025. The role focuses on preparing students to become successful K-12 teachers in New Mexico, emphasizing quality instruction, mentoring, and contributions to local K-12 schools and the community. The instructor will engage in teaching, evaluating, and coordinating mentorships while collaborating with various stakeholders in the education sector.

Requirements

• Master's in Education or a closely related field.
• At least three years of K-12 teaching experience.
• Valid New Mexico (or national) K-12 teaching licensure.
• Ability to teach Education courses and model teaching instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach Education courses and model effective teaching instruction.
• Evaluate K-12 teachers and provide feedback on their performance.
