The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time Instructor of Economics. This is a non-tenure-track, nine-month appointment. The successful candidate will teach a range of economics courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, depending on qualifications. The standard teaching load is 4 courses per semester (fall and spring). Instructors are also expected to contribute to limited service and maintain professional or scholarly engagement activities to satisfy AACSB faculty qualification standards. Courses are delivered in multiple formats—including traditional in-person lectures, hybrid/lecture-capture, and fully online. Candidates should be comfortable and interested in teaching across these formats as well as in different term lengths (16-week semesters, 8-week fast-track sessions, and intersession offerings). Courses may be assigned at the Boca Raton campus or other FAU campuses, such as Davie or Fort Lauderdale. Summer teaching opportunities may be available, subject to departmental needs and budget approval.
