The Counseling and Development Program within the Department of Counseling, Leadership, and Educational Studies at Winthrop University is seeking an innovative faculty leader to serve in a full-time, non-tenure track position beginning in fall 2026. The Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling tracks are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP). The faculty member will provide both online and in-person instruction to clinical mental health and school counseling students, while also supervising and managing practicum and internship placements in virtual and on-site settings. Applicants must hold current licensure as an LPC in South Carolina or North Carolina, or demonstrate eligibility for licensure in either state. Experience as a clinical mental health professional is also required. Responsibilities include providing clinical supervision for master’s-level students, teaching both online and in person, and collaborating with other campus units. The position also carries the expectation of active participation as a core counseling faculty member. The successful applicant will teach and advise master's-level students while serving on program, department, and university committees. The position is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track position. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Option of summer employment with sufficient enrollments.
