The Opportunity Embry-Riddle is now hiring an Instructor of Aviation English at the Daytona Beach Campus. This 10-month non-tenure track faculty position is a joint appointment with ERAU’s Department of Flight and Embry-Riddle Language Institute. This is a multi-faceted position with a primary role of providing English instruction to international students who have not yet met the minimum English language proficiency for academic study as well as international flight students who have not met the FAA Aviation English Language Standards to begin flight training. Embry-Riddle Language Institute (ERLI) is a CEA accredited intensive, English for academic purposes program. ERLI's mission is to provide high-quality English language instruction that prepares speakers of other languages to enter and succeed in Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University or another U.S. university. ERLI is an academic unit within Center for International Education. The Department of Flight provides the training for all the programs at the university that require flight training. The department has three buildings, a hangar, and more than 100 aircraft — all high-end, electronically supported models. Facilities also include a bank of simulators that includes the highest level of simulations available anywhere. The department has 200 flight instructors, plus 40 technicians performing support and maintenance in the hangar. With vibrant campuses in Daytona Beach, FL and Prescott, AZ, plus a Worldwide network across approximately 120 locations, Embry-Riddle stands as the world’s largest aviation and aerospace university.
