The Division of Audiology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for a full-time faculty Audiologist (Instructor level) to join our nationally recognized academic medical center. The Audiologist will primarily practice in our downtown Charleston location with responsibilities at one satellite clinic. Clinical Responsibilities include: -Comprehensive diagnostic audiologic evaluations -Amplification selection, fitting, and management -Osseointegrated device evaluation and programming -Inpatient and outpatient diagnostic testing in coordination with ENT physicians -Auditory evoked potentials MUSC Audiology Clinical Services Include: -Behavioral audiometric assessments for all ages -Acoustic immittance -Site-of-lesion and threshold ABR -TEOAE/DPOAE -Comprehensive vestibular testing (VNG, Rotary Chair, Posturography, VEMP, vHIT) -Hearing aids -Cochlear implant and implantable hearing device programming ________________________________________ Academic & Research Expectations As a faculty member within an academic medical center, the Audiologist will: -Supervise 4th-year Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students -Provide instruction to Otolaryngology residents and interns -Deliver lectures to residents and house staff as assigned -Participate in Audiology seminars and departmental conferences -Contribute to or collaborate in ongoing clinical research -An interest in clinical research and academic growth is highly valued. ________________________________________ About MUSC Founded in 1824, the Medical University of South Carolina is the state’s only comprehensive academic health system, integrating patient care, research, and education in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Requirements

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited institution
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A)
  • South Carolina Audiology Licensure (or eligibility)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
