About The Position

UAM, one of twenty campuses of the University of Arkansas System, is located in southeastern Arkansas in the beautiful timberlands, rich in outdoor recreation activities, and approximately 100 miles south of Little Rock. UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter, undergraduate institution also offering selected master’s degree programs. Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have a baccalaureate degree or higher related to animal sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Duties include teaching courses in animal science, such as Principles of Animals Science, Feeds and Feeding, Animal Genetics, Animal Metabolism and Nutrition, Companion Animal, and Production courses of species including Beef, Swine, Poultry, and Equine.
  • Specific courses may also be taught depending on the expertise of the successful candidate.
  • UAM also seeks to establish a Collegiate FFA chapter that will provide students with an opportunity for connection with other students and the community, to network with local and national agriculture industries and other collegiate FFA programs, advance their education in the agriculture industries and compete with other collegiate FFA programs.
