Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing with evidence of at least six hours per semester towards a Master's degree required.
• Master of Science in Nursing or higher preferred.
• Minimum of two years' full-time equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting prior to employment as a nursing faculty member.
• Minimum of one year of college-level teaching experience preferred.
• Valid, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Nurse Science core courses, including clinical components, which may require evening or weekend instruction.
• Collaborate with team members to plan, implement, and evaluate teaching effectiveness.
• Prepare learning activities and classroom presentations, and develop test items for assigned course content.
• Participate in student evaluation by grading tests, providing feedback, and maintaining student records.
• Facilitate student clinical conferences and simulation experiences, providing supervision and assistance in clinical areas.
• Maintain collegial relationships with clinical agencies and other faculty members.
• Participate in staff development and complete mandatory training and professional development activities.
• Serve on special projects and committees as needed.
