About The Position

Educate the brightest minds in clinical care. Instructor Nursing Education - RN - Per-diem - Days Join a patient focused tight-knit team of nurse educators led by a dynamic leader, responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs for nursing and support staff. These programs will cover the general nursing programs and nurse residency program at the Brooklyn Methodist campus as needed. Use your nursing experience and education in a meaningful way by guiding the next generation of top-talent nurses! Conduct clinical rounds. Identify the individual and collective learning needs of staff. Develop course curriculum and teach education programs, incorporating research findings and using cutting-edge technology (e.g., online learning modules). Promote best clinical practices and on going professional development . Actively participate in Nursing orientation program and evaluate staff competence. and You’ll work with the brightest minds in healthcare to make tomorrow better for countless human beings. This is a per-diem day shift position at New York-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, 5 shifts per month including one weekend is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Master's Degree in related area
  • Current New York State RN license
  • 2+ years of acute Registered Nurse experience
  • Preceptor and/or leadership experience
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an exceptional level of energy and vitality
