The Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth Plus Community College (PRODiG+ CC) program is an initiative supported by SUNY system aiming to: (1) Increase the number and share of excellent diverse community college faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion by hiring qualified candidates directly into tenure-track positions to support the community colleges’ efforts to build an educated workforce in the state. (2) Strengthen the pipeline for retention and support of these candidate. Candidates hired into a PRODiG+ CC role will receive additional faculty mentorship and professional development funds to support their professional growth. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: Faculty teach department courses and evaluate student performance pursuant to guidelines set by the department and the College. Faculty report to the Department Chair within the Academic Unit. Faculty are responsible for preparing lessons and student learning activities. Faculty must maintain accurate records on students and submit pertinent data to the department and/or the College.
