About The Position

Temporary opportunity beginning Fall 2026, one-year only PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supports student learning by providing quality instruction for a wide variety of college-level Mechanical Engineering courses, including but not limited to: Technical Graphics/CAD, Statics; Dynamics; Strength of Materials; Manufacturing Process; Kinematics; Fluids, Robotics, & Control Systems; and Senior Mechanical Design Project. 2. Establishes clear course objectives; engaging class activities; effective presentations of learning materials; fair grading practices; timely responses to students; and a positive classroom atmosphere. 3. Handles a teaching load of fifteen (15) contact hours per semester. Related responsibilities include maintaining five (5) office hours per week for student advisement and tutoring and participating in departmental, divisional, and College-wide activities, including those related to maintaining the ABET accreditation of the Engineering Technology programs.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited program
  • College teaching experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities
