About The Position

MVCC is seeking to fill a tenure-track, ten-month Instructor position in the School of STEM–Transfer. This position will provide instruction in a variety of Mathematics courses, ranging from Algebra and Statistics to Calculus and Differential Equations. Teaching faculty at MVCC have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the College mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our employees have an opportunity to make a difference in students' lives every day. Full-time faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Courses may be taught in traditional classroom settings and over the Internet. This position may include both daytime and evening classes on our Utica and/or Rome campuses. Specific assignments will be made according to the academic qualifications and availability of the individual and the School needs. In addition to teaching, full-time instructors participate in program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement and facilitating student internship experiences, as well as recruiting for the program. They serve as members of various School and College Committees.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
