About The Position

The position is for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track instructor to teach online and/or face-to-face methods courses in math, science, and social studies in the elementary education teacher preparation program. Salary Grade : UC For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Please review our departmental website at www.teal.msstate.edu

Requirements

• Master's degree in education with an emphasis in elementary education.
• Three years of teaching experience in grades K-6
• Technology skills required for online instruction.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with a diverse group of individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of program requirements for educators.
• Teaching experience in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Teach four undergraduate classes each semester in the Department of Teacher Education and Leadership.
• Advise elementary education majors.
• Participate in departmental activities as assigned.
• Demonstrate a high commitment to quality teaching.
• Work effectively with students and colleagues.
• Serve on departmental committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
