FGCU is seeking a nursing educator to serve as Nursing Laboratory/ Simulation Education Coordinator. This Coordinator will manage and facilitate simulation and laboratory experiential learning activities and opportunities for students in the School of Nursing. The Nursing Laboratory/Simulation Education Coordinator holds the position of Instructor I and reports to the Director of the School of Nursing. This position is a full-time, 12-month, on-campus continuing appointment. The Nursing Laboratory/ Simulation Education Coordinator is responsible for providing the technical skills, instruction, and evaluation to support the use of simulation for the School of Nursing. Coordinate and facilitate simulation experiential learning activities and opportunities for students in the School of Nursing. Responsible for assisting faculty in creating, preparing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality simulation experiences. Assist in developing simulation scenarios and facilitating simulation experiences. Supervise nursing simulation technician staff members. Work with School of Nursing Administration and faculty to update all simulation-related experiences and curriculum. Teaching credits assigned will vary depending on lab/sim needs (typically six credits or less).
