The Instructor, Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), is responsible for the total operation of an assigned Early Childhood Program classroom including instruction, supervision of students, supervision of a classroom aide, and liaison with parents in accordance with program standards. The Instructor, Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), duties are performed under the general supervision of an immediate supervisor who evaluates performance through observation of work, periodic conferences, critiques, and/or records and reports. SUPERVISORY EXPECTATIONS: Manage assigned clerical staff and subordinate professional personnel in one or more sections of the department. Take responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned teams. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district’s policies and applicable state and federal laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
