About The Position

The English Language Acquisition program is seeking part-time evening instructors who will teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills to English Language Learners. In addition to teaching these four core elements, instructors will also teach basic digital literacy, job readiness skills, and introductory civics. Other duties include classroom management and the timely submission of classroom paperwork.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree
• Experience working with adults in an educational or social work environment.

• NC Adult Basic Skills Credential
• TESOL Credential
• Experience teaching in a community college

Responsibilities

• Teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills to English Language Learners.
• Instruct students in basic digital literacy and job readiness skills.
