MVCC is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track, ten-month Instructor position in the School of STEM-Career. This position will provide instruction for a wide range of courses in the EST and Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) AOS programs. Teaching faculty at MVCC have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the College mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. Ideal candidate will have the ability to teach EST and EET courses in both the classroom and laboratory settings, to include the following subject areas: mechanical systems in advanced manufacturing, motors and controls, and industrial mechatronic systems. Full-time faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Courses may be taught in traditional classroom settings and over the Internet. This position may include both daytime and evening classes on our Utica and/or Rome campuses. Specific assignments will be made according to the academic qualifications and availability of the individual and the School needs. In addition to teaching, full-time instructors participate in program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement and facilitating student internship experiences, as well as recruiting for the program. They serve as members of various School and College Committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology or related field.
  • Master’s degree in any field.
  • Experience with industrial electronics, control systems, mechatronics, and/or related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction for a wide range of courses in the EST and Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) AOS programs.
