Responsibilities Instructors will conduct classroom and shop training using proper instructional techniques and following approved curriculum. The ideal candidate will have experience in the residential and commercial electrical industry, knowledge of conduit pipe and bending, as well as wire pulling in both residential and commercial applications. They should also be able to teach low and high voltage systems used in both residential and commercial applications. Familiarity with construction blueprints, electrical theory, ESPA Certification and OSHA is a plus. Prior teaching and/or training experience is a plus but not required. Instructors ensure that classroom and shop areas are kept clean, orderly, and promote a learning environment. They maintain and record student attendance and grades, prepare class lessons and tests in a timely manner, administer tests and make-up tests per UTI procedures manual, and ensure that students follow all established policies, procedures, and safety practices. Instructors also ensure that a professional training environment is always maintained in the classroom and shop areas and perform other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned
