About The Position
The Instructor & Director for the OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Barton Community College is a full-time position based at the Grandview Plaza campus. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the OSHA Training Institute Education Center, along with its host sites, operates in strict compliance with the directives and agreements set forth by OSHA OTE and the Great Plains OSHA Education Center (GPOEC) Consortium. The individual in this position will manage and supervise faculty and staff, ensuring that all educational offerings meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. In addition to management responsibilities, the Instructor/Director will be tasked with developing comprehensive OSHA and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) curriculum. This includes creating class schedules for both resident and online delivery formats, ensuring that the educational programs are accessible and meet the needs of diverse learners. The role also requires maintaining compliance with Higher Learning Commission (HLC), Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR), and Department of Education requirements for vocational programs, which is essential for the accreditation and recognition of the programs offered. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to adult education, showcasing the ability to teach effectively in a training or academic environment.
