About The Position

As an Instructor at Simplilearn, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of ethical hacking and cybersecurity professionals. Specifically, you will deliver content from Ec-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker (CEHv13) Certification Training Course, designed to equip learners with the skills required to identify vulnerabilities, assess security risks, and protect organizational systems against cyber threats. This is a part-time, remote role. All sessions are delivered synchronously and 100% online.

  • Proven expertise in CEH Practical domains, including:
  • - Network and system exploitation
  • - Web application attacks (OWASP Top 10)
  • - Malware analysis basics
  • - Privilege escalation and lateral movement
  • - Post-exploitation techniques and reporting
  • Extensive hands-on experience with tools such as Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite, SQLmap, Hydra, Wireshark, Nessus, Nikto, and Kali Linux
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows internals, networking protocols, and common misconfigurations
  • Experience conducting or mentoring hands-on labs, CTF-style exercises, and red-team simulations
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK mapping, vulnerability scoring (CVSS), and penetration testing methodologies
  • Understanding of cloud and hybrid environments, with exposure to basic attack vectors in AWS and/or Azure
  • CEH certification is mandatory
  • Ability to clearly explain attack logic, tool usage, and mitigation strategies in a structured, learner-friendly manner
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a learner-first mindset
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, and a strong emphasis on responsible disclosure and safe hacking practices

Nice To Haves

  • CEH Practical, OSCP, GPEN, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred
  • Prior training, mentoring, or lab facilitation experience, especially in live online environments (preferred but not mandatory)

Responsibilities

  • You will conduct live online classes, mentor learners through hands-on labs, simulations, and real-world attack scenarios, and provide professional guidance based on your industry experience.
  • You will bridge the gap between theoretical cybersecurity concepts and practical ethical hacking techniques, enabling learners to think like attackers while defending systems responsibly.
  • You will guide learners across the ethical hacking lifecycle, including reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, exploitation, post-exploitation, and reporting, helping them build the technical and analytical skills required to succeed in penetration testing and security roles.
  • Create a positive, professional and inclusive learning environment
  • Serve as role model for students and as an ambassador for our brand, by:
  • Exhibiting professionalism and an ethical and empathetic approach when engaging with Simplilearn staff, students, and the public
