About The Position

As assistant professor of chemistry, this position is responsible for teaching both major and non-major courses within the chemistry and biology programs, advising, directing undergraduate research and conducting committee work as assigned. Area of expertise is open.

Requirements

• Masters degree in chemistry or related discipline is required
• Doctoral degree is preferred
• Position rank will be based on degree and experience

Responsibilities

• Teach 27 hours, as assigned, annually within the Department of Biological, Physical, and Human Sciences
• Serve as the academic advisor for departmental majors
• Develop and mentor an undergraduate research team within the College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience
• Serve on university committees as assigned
• Attend daily Chapel
• Participate in university recruitment activities
