This tenure-track position requires regular on-campus presence, with flexible teaching schedules available. The Mathematics Department at Anne Arundel Community College seeks a full-time instructor or assistant professor of mathematics with a proven ability to teach developmental and college-level mathematics courses including statistics. This position requires regular in-person instruction and online instruction. Requirements

Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics
Minimum of 30 Credit Hours of teaching mathematics at a college
Ability to teach a wide range of community college mathematics courses including developmental and credit-level courses
Experience integrating technology and innovative teaching strategies to improve student learning
Experience working collaboratively with colleagues

Nice To Haves

Community college teaching experience
Experience teaching in face-to-face and online formats
Ability to teach upper-level STEM courses such as the calculus series (Calculus 1, 2, and 3), Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and/or Discrete Structures
Experience teaching statistics and/ or data science
Experience in accelerated and/or technology-supported developmental mathematics pathways
Knowledge of the mission of community colleges and issues directly related to serving community college students

Responsibilities

Thirty faculty load hour annual contract taught during fall and spring terms - including face-to-face, online and/ or hybrid instruction and instruction at off-site locations (including high schools) depending on student need
Six office hours per week during the fall and spring terms which may include student advising and mentoring
