About The Position

This position is Open to Current TTUHSC School of Nursing Employees Only. An internal only position that contributes to the university's mission through teaching and service, some variation by academic unit.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or 50% completion for MSN
• All degrees must be from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience required for clinical teaching roles.
• Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.

Nice To Haves

• Effective verbal/written communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
• Awareness of current issues/trends in nursing and higher education.
• Current experience working in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center - School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Is a non-tenure position providing didactic or clinical teaching support for the Accelerated BSN Program.
• Reports directly to the Accelerated BSN Program Director.
• Assists with didactic and clinical instruction and/or evaluation in a specified clinical area or in the simulation lab, as assigned.
• Provides feedback to faculty regarding student performance and learning achievements.
• Provides subject matter expertise on course content, as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the academic mission of the Health Sciences Center and the School of Nursing.
