The Instructional Technologist provides essential technical support to VUSN by building and configuring courses within the institution's learning management system. This role focuses on the hands-on implementation of course content, translating faculty materials and specifications into functional, organized online courses. The Instructional Technologist ensures that all course components are properly uploaded, formatted, and structured within the LMS to create a seamless learning environment for students. A primary responsibility of this position involves working closely with faculty to execute the technical buildout of their courses. The Instructional Technologist takes course materials provided by instructors (including syllabi, assignments, readings, multimedia content, and assessments) and expertly integrates them into the LMS platform. This includes setting up course navigation, organizing content modules, configuring assignment dropboxes and gradebook settings, embedding multimedia elements, and ensuring that all technical components function correctly. The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with LMS features and tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty to accurately represent their course vision within the digital learning environment.
