About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is the incumbent serves in a key staff professional position as the Chief of Evaluations for the commander, dean, agency heads, and staff of the Ira C. Eaker Center for Professional Development (ECPD) in administering over 75 professional continuing education (PCE) courses and the Eaker Associate Degree Program. Advises and develops policy, procedures, and provides leadership, expertise, and guidance throughout the organization in areas of strategic planning involving educational effectiveness, and managing the assessment and substantive analysis of the Center's educational programs for program improvement. Identifies need for change in priorities and takes action to staff/implement approved changes. Participates, advises and monitors all matters pertaining to educational assessment within ECPD.

Requirements

  • Must complete initial online questionnaire and additional assessment(s).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • The position requires evaluating and developing professional development programs for faculty with terminal degrees as part of the newly established Eaker Associate degree program.
  • Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and directives.

Responsibilities

  • Develops institutional effectiveness policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the high quality of educational programs offered through the Eaker Center.
  • Conducts professional development research and studies.
  • Designs policies and procedures to integrate institutional studies, analyses, assessments, lessons learned, quality improvements, and research to deliver Center-wide accountability and support for data-driven decisions.
  • Conducts evaluation as a system function.
