About The Position

This position is located in Emmitsburg, Maryland with US Fire Administration. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in planning, designing, developing content for web-based, online self-study and traditional classroom curriculum. Knowledge of conducting programmatic training needs assessments and analysis and course evaluation.

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.

  • Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
  • You must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to anywhere in the United States and its territories for an extended period of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in designing, developing, pilot testing and evaluating adult curriculum content for web-based, online self-study, LMS applications, virtual classrooms, and traditional classroom deliveries.
  • Knowledge of curriculum models such as ADDIE and Kirkpatrick Evaluation.
  • Experience developing and designing adult training curriculum that strengthens and supports emergency and disaster response.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting training needs assessments to determine training needs, level of knowledge for learning/instructional design, determine appropriate delivery method and structure project as well as training/course assessment plan.
  • Apply ADDIE for adult course design and development projects for online, self-study and classroom-based adult training to include specific assessment strategies for evaluation of process and content.
  • Review course content for course parameters to assure sound educational methodology that will meet the identified student population learning needs.
  • Conduct professional education evaluations through the use of sound adult education evaluation instruments, observations, examinations, and questionnaires.
  • Develops statement of work for curriculum development initiatives, pilot testing, evaluation, and revision of courses and training activities.
