Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) for the CSM Advising & Resource Center ( Webpage ) College of Science and Mathematics Position Overview: The CSM Advising and Resource Center is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants. ISAs typically are responsible for providing mentoring, grading, and facilitating in the first year CSM 10 and 15 classes. The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made. Anticipated Appointment Dates : This position is opened until filled. If you have applied and no other positions are available, you will be notified. Training: August 11-13, 2025 Summer Experience: August 14, 2025 - August 15, 2025 Fall 2025: August 18, 2025 - December 22, 2025 Spring 2026: January 15, 2026 - May 22, 2026 First Year Program Overview: https://csm.fresnostate.edu/fye/index.html Hours : 0-20 hours per week.

  • Attend all class periods you are assigned to
  • Attend weekly meetings and training sessions
  • Serve as a role model student during the class
  • Help with student check-ins and mentoring
  • Maintain/Submit students records/grades
  • Evaluate student assignments
  • Canvas management
  • Participate in and organize social, outreach, and other college events
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic background
  • Experience with Google suites (docs, sheets, slides, gmail, etc)
  • Previous experience as a student in the BOND program
  • Classroom management skills / prior leadership experience
