About The Position
Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) for the Department Computer Science (https://csm.fresnostate.edu/csci/) College of Science and Mathematics Position Overview: The Department of Computer Science is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants. The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made. Anticipated Appointment Dates: This position is open until filled. If you have applied and no other positions are available, you will be notified. Fall 2025: August 18, 2025 - December 22, 2025 Spring 2026: January 15, 2026 - May 22, 2026 Hours: 0-20 hours per week.
Requirements
- Junior/Senior standing or Graduate standing
- Minimum GPA 3.0
- Must have completed the course in which opening exists.
- Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic background.
- Ability and willingness to work with computers including common word-processing software, and computer & internet-based language teaching technology.
- Communication skills appropriate to the Instructional setting.
- Evidence of subject matter competence.

Responsibilities
- Read and evaluate student assignments
- Proctor examinations
- Perform individual and/or group tutoring
- Maintain/submit student records (e.g. grades)
