About The Position

Requirements

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZA or ZS endorsement

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess, and provide instruction for students based on the individual needs of each child
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans in accordance with the education plan and HighScope curriculum
• Create a positive and safe learning environment
• Utilize engaging learning activities through daily lesson plans
• Provide age appropriate language and literacy activities
• Interact with children during gross motor activities
• Promote and model positive mental health activities
• Collaborate with Early Childhood staff
• Maintain necessary student records
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding children in program
• Conduct two home visits a year with parents
• Maintain strong parent volunteer program
• Participate in professional learning opportunities and trainings
• Attend parent meetings
• Other duties as assigned
