About The Position

The Instructional Specialist - Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education position at 27J Schools is designed to provide coordination and support to address the academic needs of the district's diverse student population. This full-time role involves collaboration with district and school staff to enhance instructional practices and improve educational outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse learners.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in an educationally related field required.
• Must have, or have the ability to obtain within 3 years of hire date, a current Principal and/or Educational Leadership license from the Colorado Department of Education.
• A minimum of 5 years classroom experience at any grade level is required.
• Experience with CLD students is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience at multiple grade levels is preferred.
• Expertise in the use of technology and its integration within the classroom is preferred.
• Instructional Coaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach teacher leaders, teachers, classified interventionists, and administrators in leading district initiatives regarding CLDE programming, improved instruction, and increased student learning.
• Collaborate with the Student Achievement Division to assure development, implementation, accountability, and monitoring of effective teaching practices for CLDE learners.
• Design and implement high-quality professional development, instructional coaching, and consultation services to promote quality instructional programming and practices for CLD students.
• Lead the decision-making process for the selection of programs, materials, and assessments to ensure alignment with district goals and objectives.
• Facilitate effective communication throughout the district and community, supporting the 27J webpage, district-wide and community engagement, and acting as a liaison between schools, departments, and the Student Achievement Division.
