South Windsor Public Schools is seeking an instructional math paraeducator at Orchard Hill Elementary School. This paraeducator will work collaboratively with math interventionists to assist and guide students to reinforce mathematics skills. This position is classified as a nine and one-half (9.5) months, 29 hours per week. South Windsor is a diverse community of approximately 27,000 citizens and more than 5,000 public school students. The district values this diversity, and has worked to create a districtwide culture of equity and social consciousness. SWPS is comprised of four elementary schools, one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12), all of which cultivate and support culturally responsive classrooms and learning communities.   • Previous experience working with school age children is desired.
  • Applicant must possess an associate's degree, two years of college credits, or have passed the ParaPro exam.
  • Entry rate is $21.12 per hour with incremental increases based on experience. Prior experience in a comparable role will be considered. Benefits are not offered.
