About The Position

The Instructional Lab Facilitator is responsible for providing a lab experience for K-5 students, supporting their learning through online programs that align with curriculum standards. This role involves working at three elementary schools on a 9-week rotation, assisting students with their assignments, and maintaining communication with classroom teachers to monitor student progress.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of college with at least 48 hours of transferable college credit toward a four-year degree, or an associate degree.
• Three years of experience in K-5 education.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and tools.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Responsibilities

• Fully implements all aspects of the math and reading programs to support student achievement.
• Assists students using software and equipment.
• Plans instruction that correlates with the individual student's needs or as requested by the classroom teacher.
• Makes regular contact with classroom teachers to keep lines of communication open concerning students' progress.
• Assists students with online assignments and practice, monitors their work, and ensures time on task.
• Supports classroom teachers by following provided assignments and by communicating student concerns related to assignments.
• Demonstrates and teaches proper ethical computer and lab use.
• Performs troubleshooting functions.
• Ensures a safe lab environment by enforcing rules and regulations, including proper use of online program.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date management records of all students' progress as requested by teachers.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
