About The Position

The Sweetwater Union High School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Instructional Assistant. This role is essential in supporting the educational needs of students in grades 7 through 12 across the district's 32 campuses. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of job-related experience.
• Must pass the SUHSD Instructional Assistant proficiency exam or have completed 48 college credits.
• Valid CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in the instructional process by providing support to students in the classroom.
• Help prepare instructional materials and maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance.
• Support students with special needs and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Facilitate small group activities and assist with classroom management.
