About The Position

The Instructional Facilitator at the Teaching and Learning Academy plays a crucial role in supporting educators and students by implementing diverse instructional strategies and providing targeted interventions. This position focuses on enhancing student learning through collaboration, assessment, and professional development, ensuring a safe and productive educational environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in education (Pursuing Alternative Licensure)
  • Enrolled in year 3, 4 or student teaching experience for a Bachelor's Degree in Education
  • May also be a licensed teacher
  • Working toward or completion of Science of Reading training
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education and/or elementary education
  • Subject to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a variety of instructional activities and lesson plans in collaboration with the educator team, incorporating diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Provide targeted intervention and support to students who require additional assistance in academic or behavioral areas, utilizing evidence-based practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data analysis, maintaining accurate records and providing timely feedback to both students and the educator team to inform instructional decisions.
  • Supervise students during instructional periods, transitions, and other non-instructional times to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with members of the Teaching and Learning Academy team to align instructional goals, share best practices, and promote a cohesive educational approach across grade levels and subject areas.
  • Attend and actively participate in professional development opportunities, including on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring, to enhance instructional effectiveness and stay current with educational trends and practices.
  • Assist the educator team in establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with families, including sharing student progress, addressing concerns, and fostering positive relationships between home and school.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
