The instructional coach will contribute to the improvement of student achievement by building teacher capacity through the development of research-based knowledge and practice. The instructional coach will be expected to provide professional development to large and small groups of teachers. In addition, the instructional coach will work with individual teachers to analyze data-based student needs and current teacher practice in order to develop coaching goals. Common coaching activities will include modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, observation, and conferencing with teachers. This is not a supervisory position and does not include the evaluation of colleagues.
