About The Position
The primary purpose of a special education instructional coach is to collaborate with teachers in order to build their capacity as effective special educators in a learning platform. The special education instructional coach will facilitate change in the areas of aligning teaching and learning with curriculum standards and district curriculum as delineated in LEAD 2021 and using formative and summative assessment data for instructional decision-making. Special Education Instructional Coaches will support campus administrators in the areas of data analysis, instructional accountability, and special education IEP implementation. In addition, special education instructional coaches will design and deliver job-embedded professional learning to campus staff as well as assist in the development of district special education curriculum.
