About The Position

About the Role: We are looking for dedicated and compassionate people to provide educational instruction, care and supervision, and emotional support to students with special needs. Our Instructional Assistants create a safe classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the intellectual and social growth of students. If qualified, you may also be asked to serve as a substitute teacher. About Us: McKinley is a non-profit organization serving our communities with education, social services, and counseling. We offer educational services in our non-public school where we work with local school districts to educate students with learning disabilities. A typical day includes: Using a company vehicle, pick up students from their home and create a positive start to their day. Helping students complete assignments. Helping students regulate their frustrations. Dropping students off at home at the end of the day. The ideal candidate for this role will posses the following: Unwavering belief in and commitment to supporting students with their educational goals. Knowledge of child cognitive development and different learning styles. Associates Degree or 60 units preferred. Passed the CBEST.
